FAQ

What is a turn?

A turn is one interaction with Robot Goose. Every text message costs one turn. Image attachments cost two turns. PDFs cost two turns per page (up to 10 pages).

How does Robot Goose decide when to listen?

Robot Goose sees every message in your group, but most of them don't cost you anything. It only wakes up and starts using turns when it notices something relevant — like being mentioned by name or seeing a message it can help with.

Once awake, it stays active so it can follow along with natural back-and-forth like “add hot dogs” then “and buns.” During this time, every message in the group uses a turn because Robot Goose sends each one to the AI to decide whether to act. When the conversation moves on to something unrelated, it goes back to sleep and stops using turns.

Why was a turn used when the bot didn't respond?

When Robot Goose is awake, it sends every message to the AI — even ones it ultimately doesn't reply to. That AI processing is what costs a turn. This is what lets it understand context and catch follow-ups without being explicitly asked each time.

Do all group members share the same turns?

Yes. Everyone in your Telegram group shares the workspace's monthly turn budget.

When do turns reset?

Turns reset at the start of each billing period (the date you subscribed), not on the 1st of the month.

What happens when I run out of turns?

Robot Goose will stop responding until your next billing period starts and your turns reset.
